Monthly Bookmark - February

Fresh new start, fresh new books!

February. Month of opportunities for me. For challenges. And for the "we'll see"'s to come "well done"s. I'm so excited.

For this months bookmark and TBR, I wanted to keep them simple and flexible. No real push in it and very free-ish. I didn't decorate my bookmark with a theme, like I used to. And I restricted the TBR for four books, of which only two I have real plans on reading.

So this is the plan for this month. First of all, I need to reread Pride & Prejudice for the Austen Project and then watch some of the adaptations made from it. That'll be interesting because I've read Pride & Prejudice a lot before, but never in English, so it'll be quite different. Then I'll read The Giver. I've been meaning to read this for a long time, but I knew I will have to eventually read it for school, so I decided to wait. And that time is now, so reading it begins. The next two books are really there for the heck of it. I really want to read them at some point and they're borrowed from a friend and I'd really like to give them back. So I'm putting them in to at least say I tried.

This is it, this is month of February. I really hope I can get to them, at least four books a week I have to read to reach my reading goal this year. It would be easy if it wasn't for school. But I think I can do it.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Monthly Bookmark - September

*sniffs* I can smell the school anxiety coming. And we're going to have a blast.

September, guys. Summer. Is. Over. *dramatic sight*

Let's mourn for a few moments the loss of a great summer.

Moving on. This month I start school and it's going to be hella busy for me this first semester so I don't think I'll get much reading done. So I have reduced my list to four books only, so I can kinda keep on track with my reading challenge for this year. I really do hope I read at least one book more but I'm no really sure that I'll be able to even breath this month. *sighs* We'll see how it goes. And if you never see me until January, please know, I tried.

Without further ado, this is my Monthly Bookmark.

First of all, I am finishing the two books I didn´t finish last month and those are, Sense and Sensibility and We Are Not Ourselves. I'm already finishing Sense and Sensibility and loving it so that won't be though, but for We Are Not Ourselves I'm not sure I'll actually finish it, I think I might just get to half of it and then stop. I feel bad because it really feels like it's something but I just don't have the time to be figuring out if it's really good or not. Maybe I'll finish it.

Then we have my bae Pride and Prejudice. This book is the reason of why I exist. I've only read it once and in Spanish so I'm really super excited to read it now. With this I'll be continuing my Project Austenland and I believe I'm going to have a blast reading it.

As you may see we have mainly Percy Jackson books and that is because I want to reread all of the book before Blood of Olympus and I still have some books to go, so I'll need to get on with this. I put three of them because, like I said, I don't have the time to read this books, but I do know they are really fast paced and quite easy to go through, and they are in Kindle form, so they'll be incredibly fast to read if I can squish I few minutes from now and then. If by some miracle I find myself reading all of this books, I might add The Son of Poseidon to the lost, but I really, really doubt that.

This months theme is Pride and Prejudice, in honor of the Austenland Project. It doesn't have much details, it really just is my writing in cursive, but I though that a simple touch of simplicity wouldn't harm anyone, would it? Also, my mom bought this papers with designs on it and she finished using so I went there and said "can I use them?" and she was cool with it so now I have new backgrounds for my bookmarks. Also, I'm back to the strips of glitter, I think they look good. Oh, and I can't find my hole opener so it doesn't have the little cord on top, hence my hand and those nails holding the bookmark. If I do happen to find it sometime during the month I'll be sure to show it to you in a post. And I added this thing that I just now realize that I didn't do before and that is writing the month and the year at the bottom. I don't know why I never thought of it before and even when I took the pictures I still hadn't thought of it. But it's a thing now, so don't worry.

That's it for this post. Once again I want to apoogize in advance for the lack of posting that it's probably happening in the next two or three months. I know I've said it enough but I just feel bad and really ansious about this. I really want to get this done and get the blog going. But, we'll see. Really.

Thank you again for reading and I hope you have a wonderful, full of books, non-spoiler day!

Monthly Bookmark - August

Oh, August, I'm so ready for you.

Yeah, I know, I'm late. But better late than never! This month I plan on reading a whole lot of bunch of books I've been meaning to read for such a long time. It'll be kind of a mix, mostly consisted of Historical Fiction and so, but I'll also be reading some Young Adult and some classics. And if everything goes as planned, this is what I'll be reading.

This are the books I plan on reading this month. It's very ambitious of me to try to read all this books, but I think I can manage. I don't really care if I don't read them all, but I do care for some books, they're the "important" ones, the ones I must read, doesn't matter what it takes. City of Souls is one of them, I need to finish the series now (at least what I own) because I need to move on from it, I feel kind of unease about not completing a series, specially one that I don't personally like as much so I don't really want to read it that much. But it's just gives me this feeling of uneasiness that I can't shake. So that's a must. Also, the Percy Jackson books, I want to finish rereading them now, I'm so excited for the books to come, and I'm already late for the read-a-long of two books a month. But they're short and supper fast paced, so I'll do it fast. I'd like to reread Catching Fire now, so I'm not that busy when Mockingjay Part 1 comes, because I plan on rereading Mockinjay for it, and those months are going to be quite full for me. And lastly, Sense and Sensibility is part of a project I'm starting called "Austenland Project" and I will talk more about it in my next post.

This TBR is very ambitious, but also flexible and it´s diverse and I think that's going to make August a great reading month. Again, I really doubt I´ll make through them all, but a girl can dream.

This month's bookmark theme is Catching Fire because it's one of the books I plan on reading this month and I just love Catching Fire that much. Also, with all the posters and the sneak peaks I'm just really excited about Mockingjay because I think they did an amazing job and it's all going to go amazing. And yeah, I did just drew a Mockingjay, and no, it is not pretty at all.

Anyway, I hope August is a great reading month for you, I know we're getting close to coming back to school, so take advantage of this time and read like if your life depended on it (like if it didn't already) and just have a great time before hell school starts.

Once again, thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful, full of books, non-spoiler day!

Monthly Bookmark - July

Oh July, how have I been waiting for you.

The time has come my friends, finally after all the stress and the subjects and all the people, we finally get the thing we crave the most. Summer.

And as a good reader I plan to spend most of it reading like there was no tomorrow!

Sooooo if I plan to follow that statement, then that means that I should get on it right now.

Last month I wasn't able to read all of the books I wanted so all of those books will be read this month (see above Mortal Instruments).

The obligatory TBR this month is to read City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels ad City of Lost Souls. Once I finish those I plan to read the next two books in the Percy Jackson series to continue my PJO read-a-long. And from there I'll see where the wind takes me!

This month's bookmark theme is the Legend series, featuring Legend, Prodigy and Champion. I personally think this series was amazing, action packed and very intriguing. It does has it flaws but I forgave them because the series is amazing and Marie Lu's writing is pretty awesome as well. I love Day, I think he's great and really cute and bad-ass and June is my role model because the badassery you find in her is beyond what you could imagine. Great series, I recommend it if you haven't started it. It's fast paced, easy to read and the feels are everywhere.

That's it, if you have anything you'd want me to know or you want to share please comment down below.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful, full of books, non-spoiler day!

Monthly Bookmark - June

New month, new life, new starts!

This is the first post of my new improving idea for using more bookmarks. It'll be called, for now, Monthly Bookmark.(Because I'm just that original).

In this I will show you my new bookmark and in there you'll find my "TBR" ("TBR" because I'll probably won't follow it) and every now and then I will be updating it with all the books I've read for now.

So, without further ado, let's begin!

TBR

This month bookmark-theme is Attachments by Rainbow Rowell because it's the last book I added at my favorite's shelf (ignore Animal Farm), and it's really a cute theme to put on a bookmark. I had a hard time doing those freaking chairs but they came out ok at the end.

My TBR consist on reading the whole The Mortal Instruments series this month because I think I've been putting it off for enough time and now that City of Heavenly Fire is out, I have more incentive to read it. Also, I plan on re-reading the first two Percy Jackson and the Olympians book because reading two books every month will get me ready for The Blood of Olympus (raise your hand if you're crying at this). But maybe I won't read them this month but the next, because I'm really busy right now, that's why they're not on the "official TBR". And I already read them so there's no hurry, really.

And that's it, that's my Monthly Bookmark and my TBR. The bookmark it's not really that well crafted but I'll get better along the way. Also, the timing isn't exact but whatever. I really hope you enjoyed and that you leave a comment talking about what you think about this, any suggestions you'd like to tell. Anything, really.

I'll talk to you later, and I hope you have a wonderful, full of book, non-spoiler day!
